There’s something really satisfying about the first of the month landing on a Monday. It’s like a double chance to start afresh, to start the things you’ve been planning for a while but just never got round to doing. A new week, a new month, a new you.
Okay, maybe that’s getting a bit over-dramatic, but still, a new month is a great chance to finally put some plans into action, and that’s hopefully what I’ll be doing this October.
I feel like I’ve been a bit lazy recently and haven’t really been using my spare time in the most productive of ways (i.e. I’ve spent most of it sleeping), so that’s something I’m going to be working on this month. After hours of scrolling through Pinterest for inspiration, I’ve decided to give bullet journaling a go, as a way of trying to organise my time better and keep track of all the things I need/want to do.
I’ve also not really been doing any exercise at all, so I want to try and get back into the habit of doing yoga. I used to do it near enough every day, and found it really calming and relaxing, so it’s definitely something I feel like I should make the time and effort for this month.
Finally, I want to really cut back on the amount of crap I have in my house! I will admit that I’m a bit of a hoarder and I really struggle to throw things away. Seriously, underneath my bed looks like that trash planet from Thor: Ragnarok. So, thanks to Pinterest (you’ll notice a recurring theme that I use Pinterest to solve all my life problems), I’ve found a 30 Day Minimalism Challenge that I’ll try to follow this month.
Hopefully this will give me the motivation to cut back on the amount of stuff I have that I don’t really need, and make my living space tidier and not so cluttered! I’ll try to do a weekly post about how I’m getting on with the challenge.
What are your goals for this month? Have you set yourself any challenges? Let me know!
